An Email from Ali Naqvi, The founder of Hiyest.
Some of you may already know me, but for the new ones, I’m Ali Naqvi, and I left college to start Hiyest. Growing up in a middle-class family in Varanasi, I was always chasing the idea of making money. At 18, I jumped into digital businesses, and by 19, I was doing pretty well in e-commerce and marketing. But then COVID hit, and things changed. I realized that money, while important, isn’t everything. It’s just a tool—not what makes life meaningful.
After the pandemic, I decided to try college out of curiosity. Honestly, it wasn’t for me. I found more excitement outside the classroom. But living alone in a new city taught me a lot about life and what really matters. It made me rethink what happiness and success truly are.
I’ve always followed whatever sparks my interest—whether it’s building websites, running online stores, marketing, coding, or even making music. I didn’t have formal training, just a lot of curiosity and a drive to figure things out. Every design you see on Hiyest is something I created with my own hands and heart.
Hiyest started because I wanted to make premium clothing that could stand up to the best out there, but with a personal touch. This brand is for people who dream big, who think deeply, and who see life as a playground. Every piece I design is about pushing boundaries and being true to yourself.
At Hiyest, we’re not about fitting in—we’re here to stand out. We see ourselves as the main characters in our own stories. Believe in yourself, even when others don’t.

You don’t have to be academically brilliant to achieve something meaningful and feel fulfilled in life.
I was the guy who crammed the night before exams just to pass. It’s not about fitting into predefined roles like being a doctor or an engineer. It’s about pursuing what genuinely interests you.
For me, the work I do for Hiyest isn’t just a job—it’s my passion. I don’t see it as work; I simply love what I’m doing.
Don’t beat yourself up if you’re struggling or feeling unaccomplished. Life itself doesn’t have an inherent meaning. It’s like a blank canvas, and we’re the artists. Our dreams, emotions, pain, and experiences are the colors we use.
If I lost everything today, except my parents, I think I would still be happy.
In this life, We all are artists. trying to make the best paintings. The painting might not be perfect, but it’s yours. If you love it and you’ve given it your best shot, that’s what truly matters.
