Heaven and Hell: What Really Happens After Death? The Afterlife

Hey, it’s Ali here—founder of Hiyest. When I’m not busy crafting the next drop for the brand, I find myself diving deep into the big questions of life. One thought that’s always been on my mind is what happens after we’re done here—after this life. Growing up in a religious Muslim family in India, heaven and hell were more than just concepts—they were realities we were taught to believe in since day one. But as I got older, I started to wonder, is it really that simple? Is heaven just this endless place of joy, and hell a fiery pit where you’re stuck forever?

This isn’t just some random thought that pops up when I’m alone—it’s something I’ve chewed over in deep conversations with my mom, usually after dinner usually around 11pm-1AM. She’s seen me grow from a curious kid, who questioned everything, into someone who’s still questioning but with a lot more on the line. And let me tell you, these conversations with her haven’t just shaped my thoughts—they’ve shaped how I live, and even how I think about Hiyest.

So, let me share a conversation that really stuck with me—a late-night talk with my mom that made me rethink what heaven and hell might actually be. It’s not just about what happens after we die but something much deeper.

Was Dropping Out Of College The Best Decision Of My Life?

Hi, I’m Ali Naqvi, and I made the unconventional choice to leave college and pursue my passion for fashion with @thehiyest. Growing up in Varanasi, India, I faced the weight of expectations and the pressure to live up to my family’s hopes. But the path I chose was anything but traditional.

At 18, I plunged into the world of digital businesses, driven by a desire to carve out my own path. By 19, I was achieving more than most of my peers, but I soon realized that chasing wealth alone didn’t bring happiness. Money, like air, is essential but doesn’t create joy.

I discovered that true fulfillment comes from pursuing what genuinely matters—passion, purpose, and personal growth. That’s why, at 21, I decided to explore college life out of curiosity, only to find that my real calling lay elsewhere.

Living alone in a new city taught me independence and introspection, revealing that every moment shapes who we are. My journey led me to embrace new interests, from building websites to designing clothing. With Hiyest, I channel my passion into creating something personal and premium—clothing that reflects individuality and challenges conventions.

Hiyest is more than a brand; it’s an extension of my journey and philosophy. It’s about celebrating those who think deeply, dream big, and see life as a playground. Each piece I create is a statement of who you are, pushing boundaries and inspiring personal growth.

Welcome to Hiyest—where passion meets purpose, and individuality is celebrated. If you’re pursuing your own path, remember that the journey itself is what truly matters.
